The Man Behind Pine Hill
In memory and honor of Bull Lee

Early mornings and late nights
I watched you shaine your light
Upon a hill beneath the pines
I see you still within my mind

It was all because of love
That you gave us nineteen years
We shared a life of laughter
And the tenderness of tears

And though its time to say goodbye
Your legacy lives on
In the lives of little children
That sing this simple song
As you arise to meet the Son
Your faithfulness will fill
A thousand hearts of those who knew
The Man Behind Pine Hill
Mrs. Bessie's in the kitchen
Big Buddy waits at home
And I hear the children playing
Right before th whistle blows

I remember you upon your knees
And your prayerful tears of joy
Yo see a little tender girl
And one more hard heart boy
Say the sinners prayer
Open up the door
And give their lives to everything
That you've been living for
