One Mile From Home
We're all just one mile from Home
We can see the light from here
We're driving in the black of night
And hiding from our fears
We're praying that the morning comes
And brings a brand new dawn
But deep inside our hearts we know
That day will never come
Still recklessly we grip the wheel
And drive into the night
We face the darkness with the hope
That soon we'll reach the light
But sometimes the light can not be reached
And so we wander on
Believing that just one more turn
Will surely take us home
We dream... we hope...we'll make it there
But then the light goes out
We awaken in another place
That shows what homes about
Even though it is a better home
We long to come back and say
That all our dreams are not what they seem
And we are only promised today
So open up your eyes and live with all your heart

And you will have a peace within
